SHOALHAVEN RIVER FESTIVAL SUP SPLASH

A weekend of SUPing on the Shoalhaven River designed for the serious racer, the novice and the family alike with a series of fun events for all. Throw in the festival vibe and the rest of the activities on offer and you have a SUP event not to be missed!
SUP events include:
- One design Sprint racing on supplied Hobie® Apex 4R, 14ft X 27.5″ Race boards.
- Totally Immersed Watersports Doggie Dash – Free Entry
- Relatives Race – Free Entry
- 1,5km, 4,5km or 9 km Race
Entry for the Sprint Racing and Sundays Challenge Race is $ 30 each, if you enter both you only pay $ 40 total.

The River Festival includes a street parade, Fireworks, Market stalls, Displays, a Colour Run, Wakeboard demo’s, live entertainment on Stage … the list goes on.
Saturday the 24th October SUP Program:
- 11am – Hobie One Design Sprint Series. This will be run as timed heats on 6 x supplied Hobie 14’ x 27.5” Apex 4R Race boards. The fastest 6 go through to the finals at 2pm. Heats start at 11am!
- 12:15pm – Relatives SUP Race. Rules are simple, one SUP, one paddle, 2 or more direct family members. Father & child or children, Mother & child or children, Husband & wife, Siblings, Grandparent & grandchild. +- 200m dash !
- 130pm – Totally Immersed Watersports Doggie Dash. +-200m SUP Dash with your dog. If you don’t have a dog, borrow one!
- 2pm – Hobie One Design Sprint Series FINAL’s
Sunday 25th October
10:15am Shoalhaven SUP Challenge. 1,5km, 4,5km or 9 km race catering for all categories
- 1,5km – limited to non-race boards under 12’6
- 4.5 km – Open to any board 14’ and under
- 9 km – Open to 12’6 and 14’ Boards only
- This will be a technical race designed for spectators to enjoy while challenging competitors. The 1.5 km circuit will see the competitors doing laps in front of the festival area.
Accommodation: For the out of town folk, the Shoalhaven Caravan Village is pet friendly and is a short paddle from the event site.
The River front area will be busy on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Easy parking on Saturday will be on the North of the river near the boat ramp, an easy paddle across to the event registration. On Sunday the Colour Run will start and finish from here so suggested easy parking would be on the East side of the bridge and Sailing club.
There will be some road closures for the event.
