Well, most of us are now back from our Autumn getaway at Merimbula and there were a lot of happy chappies and chappets all round, here some of our Merimbula highlights March 2026.
The 15 strong crew consisted of Herby and Sony, Goughy and Carol, Ed and Susan, Mick, Jane and Mandy, Lozza and Yaz, Shellee, Mad dog, Fiona and Warren with the guys jagging some of best waves the South had to offer.
We had great weather early upon arrival with sunshine and Noreasters blowing then the change came from the South which made for favourable surf conditions down at Pambula, even if it was a tad cold. By Saturday the sun and Northerly winds returned to for the next couple of days to warm things up again.
We managed to get in a couple of surfs at the Merimbula bar, had some lazy time down at the fishpen with the crew, got in a couple more surfs down at Pambula River mouth, did some more relaxation back at the fishpen ….. oh and we managed a couple more surfs hehe.
The girls hit the shops, a few times while we were preoccupied and we all caught up most arvos for some pre dinner drinks and nibbles, mixing it up between campsites.
Saturday afternoon we went to the Longstocking Brewery and had a lovely time out the back sipping on some of the local ales having oysters and / or wood wired pizza cooked on-site. And yes, they were delicious.
To wrap it up we had a very enjoyable time away with you all and thanks for joining us again to make it another successful weekend away. Our next “official” weekend away is our Spring Break at Broulee so check that out and lock it in if you can, we’d love to see you all there.
