In a word “awesome”, that’s how our sign up day was.
We had around 40 members turn up for a fun, food filled morning. The BBQ was lit early while the committee was setting up for the day with Loren smashing out some bacon and eggs rolls for breaky.
The Gamesmaster
By the time 10.00am rolled around we were ready to rock n roll. Ant the “Gamesmaster” was up to his old tricks keeping the crowd entertained with his new and old games, I seriously do not know where he keeps them all but the fun factor is always high.
With the weather warming up and the sun peaking out from behind the clouds, the sleepy heads were starting to gather. Time for some Satay chicken sticks and yummo salads, followed by a few sweet treat’s aka brownies and lollies (it is Christmas after all).

Oh the Prizes
With raffle tickets all but sold out it was time for the big draw where for pretty much every year since we formed we have offered up a new SUP to 1 lucky member.
The main prize on offer was the Wavechaser SUP which went to Steve English who was working hard all morning taking in new members with Jenny backing him up with the raffles, congratulations Steve, a great win.
With extra prizes on offer including hats and caps, beach towels, food and drink vouches, accommodation vouchers, SUP pilates voucher, cooler bags, shirts and much more, there was plenty to smile about.
We had an additional 2 Wavechaser boards up for grabs, 1 was raffled and the other a “not so silent auction” members were eagerly waiting with fingers crossed. The raffle board was also taken out by Steve English, now he has a his and hers setup 1 for him and 1 for jenny. A double congratulations to you.
The auctions highest bidder was Lynne Duffy who was really keen on replacing her 10 year old Starboard with a new board, great choice here and may you enjoy another 10 years on this Wavechaser GTR.
